The City of Peterborough has announced that the Ashburnham/Lansdowne East section of the TCT – linking the City of Peterborough section to the Lang-Hastings section is now complete.

This new section of trail is 1.8 km long including 1.2 km in the city limits from Lansdowne Street to just south of Technology Drive  and 650 metres between the city limits and the Old Keene Road. It is paved except for one section, which will be limestone screenings until the MTO completes rehabilitation of the 115 by-pass bridge. Funding for this project was provided from the Province of Ontario through the Pan-Am Legacy Funds, the Trans-Canada Trail Foundation and the City of Peterborough.

You are invited to attend the Trail Opening on Tuesday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. on the Trans-Canada Trail just south of Technology Drive.  While you are encouraged to walk or bike to this event, vehicle parking is available on Technology Drive in the vicinity of the trail.
