School Trip by Transit

School Trip by Transit

Active School Travel Peterborough recognizes the educational value of learning opportunities outside the classroom.  Exploring Peterborough and the many attractions it offers adds to the educational experience for local students.

We encourage teachers to consider traveling using Peterborough Transit for their class trips.

Peterborough Transit’s regular routes and schedule provide a transportation option that is inexpensive, convenient, and a valuable experience.

By using Peterborough Transit, you can expand the learning experience beyond the destination.  Make the travel part of a school trip equally as valuable.  It is an important skill to be able to plan a route, interpret a schedule and normalize the use of transit.  Lower the carbon footprint and the cost of your class trips by taking public transit.  By increasing comfort levels, transit can become a mode of transportation that is both normal and accessible.
