There is more and more evidence that the way our communities are designed and built affects our health and quality of life.  The backbone of community design is local planning initiatives and policies.  The ones provided here directly influence how easy it will be to walk and bike in our communities as they redevelop and grow.  These planning initiatives and policies will also affect how viable public transit systems will be.
