Grade 8 Transit Quest is Here!

Grade 8 Transit Quest is Here!

Posted: March 11, 2016

Transit - Leah 3The Grade 8 Transit Quest is back!  This program encourages students to use Peterborough Transit by providing them with a FREE transit pass for March Break.

The Quest works to increase the familiarity of city youth with the Peterborough Transit system as they begin to travel independently. By increasing comfort levels at this age, transit can become a mode of transportation that is both normal and accessible.

Many local destinations get involved with the Quest, providing free and discounted admission to students who take the bus over this two-week period. This year, Bowlerama, Zap Attack Laser Tag, Busy Brushes Pottery Painting, the YMCA, the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre and Trent Athletics have signed on as Quest destinations. We thank them for their generosity!

Last year, Grade 8 students took 2779 rides over the March Break. Let’s see if we can break that record this year!
